flickr & Strobist

I have been pretty active on Flickr lately reading and studying what other photographers are doing.   There are a few photographers that are really breaking down how to work with lighting (Strobist Style) and have posted video’s of their shoots on “You Tube” and I wanted to show some of the work of one of those people who have been an inspiration to me so far.

His name is Jacob and he is a photographer in Orlando.  His style is kinda goofy looking in the video but he turns out excellent work.  The video does not do the photographs justice at all but it does show the session in detail.

The other website/blog is Strobist, by David Hobby.  I have a pretty strong understanding of exposure, using depth of field and advanced amateur photography skills.  One area that I really need to gain knowledge in is artificial lighting and all the pieces of that skill set.  Strobist is a minimalist approach to studio lighting with basic equipment and people are doing really amazing stuff.  Here is the website link to Strobist:

Thank you Mr. Hobby and Jacob The Photographer
